Getting to do some work finally!
I found the way that the sarter is mounted it would interfere with the suspension as you can see here.

So I had to fabricate a couple of brackets and turn the starter almost 90 degrees and it now looks like this.

I have created a list of what needs to be done and will be working towards getting this thing running for next season.

Battery Tray Battery

For my first welding project I built the battery tray.
Here is the battery installed.
The car is now wired up and I'm ready to get to work on the engine.

I drained the oil and pulled the oil screen and this is what I found. Quite a mess! I replaced the screen and cleaned this all up then added some new oil which I will replace after the first time it starts up and runs for a few minutes.

Oil sludge from engine

OK so forget about all that starter stuff for now. I had to use the original starter because apparently I have a 6v flywheel a and not a 12v as I thought. Here is the current setup.

I also removed the generator stand and replaced it with this Oil Filler & Crankcase Vent from CB Performance.

I have spun the engine with the plugs pulled and it spins freely and it also had oil pressure. I'll be working towards getting the engine started now.

The project has been sold.

Here it is heading to its new home.
