2021 trips that we took

2021 Still dealing with Covid-19 restrictions, but slowly opening up

Because last years camping season was essentially a bust, we have planned a number of trips this year. For the first trip we decided on going to Cape May just before the season officially opened.

We have not been there in quite a long time and chose to go to Holly Shores Camping Resort. We really liked this campground, it is smaller size with about 400 sites (there are several in the area with 1000 or more). Bathhouses were very clean, you will need quarters for 5 minutes of shower time, but there was plenty of water pressure and it heated up very fast. 5 minutes was actually too long for me. Sites are a little close to each other but not terrible. There are 2 play areas for the kids, a nice dog park, pool and a pavilion. They put on lots of activities for both kids and adults. The only negative I have and it is really a personal thing, is the number of golf carts. It's not that big of a campground where you really need one and I feel its just a "keeping up with the Jones" kinda thing. Also some of the employees were driving them a little too fast in my opinion.

Update

This campground has since been bought out by the giant corporation Sun Resorts and our latest experience is that they are only interested in your money.
We definitely do NOT recommend staying here.
