2000 trips that we took

2001 was a quite a busy year for us camping wise. .

Memorial Day Weekend - Otter Lake, Marshalls Creek, PA. - It didn't rain !!!! :~) But it was on the chilly side. Thank goodness for the indoor pool. The site was a large pull through with enough room for two pop-ups. A little too much traffic on the main road through the campground for out liking but otherwise a very pleasant stay. Will most likely go back again.
July Fourth Weekend - Country Acres Family Campground, Gordonville, PA. What a great weekend. Although it did rain on Monday night but we had plenty of warning to get things put away. Otherwise the weather was hot and the pool was cool. Dutch Wonderland was great fun for the kids as was the Choo-Choo Barn. We'll be back in Sept. to see Thomas. We even got to do some antique shopping but didn't buy anything.
Labor Day Weekend - Knoebels Campground/Amusement park , Elysburg, PA. - Is it me, or does it rain at least one day every Labor day weekend ? Well it started to thunder and lightning on Friday about 5 minutes after we payed to go swimming at the amusement parks pool. We waited about an hour but it did not let up. They gave us passes to swim another day during the weekend, we chose to go on Monday after packing up the camper. It rained until very early Saturday mourning. Once it cleared up it was an awesome weekend. The campsite is cramped, but lie I've said below, your there for the amusement park, not really for camping. The camp store is average, although they ran out of ice on Sunday. On Sunday they have a church service.
Sept 16-18 - Country Acres Family Campground, Gordonville, PA. To see Thomas the Tank Engine - Well, it does rain every time we go camping. At least this time it was for only ten minutes or so as we pulled up to the campsite. The weather was perfect for camping, a bit chilly at night but it was manageable. We did notice that the noise from the road was more than usual, probably because we normally go on a holiday weekend. The highlight of the weekend was our trip to see Noah at the Sight & Sound Theatre. GO AND SEE THIS PRODUCTION !  See the show and get the message. Thomas the Tank Engine was next on our agenda and the kids really loved it. But if you can, go during the week! the weekends are so crowded it's not much fun. Thankfully we were forewarned about this and went on Monday.
Well, That's it for this season. I have some small repairs and pdates to do on the camper before (hopefully) the next season. I'm still planning on putting some pictures here  ;~)
